Soybean yield in integrated crop–livestock system in comparison to soybean–maize succession system

Abstract Among integrated crop–livestock systems, forage succession is an advantageous strategy for the use of pasture to feed cattle in periods low rainfall, as well generation biomass no-till system next crop. Different species have different abilities accumulate nutrients their biomass, which are then released into soil through decomposition crop residues. This study aimed evaluate soybean yield comparison soybean–maize production, and nutrient accumulation biomass. The experiment had a randomized block design with four replicates. treatments were three cropping systems: Paiaguas palisadegrass ( Brachiaria brizantha cv. BRS Paiaguas), Tamani guinea grass Panicum maximum Tamani) maize grown soybean. results showed that form provided greater cover cycling result better utilization animal's excreta, than resulted higher productivity, thus contributing agricultural sustainability. C:N ratio 30:1, indicating slow plant forages accumulated amounts met demand, resulting grain yield.
